Lucienne de Boer

It's nice to meet you!

I'm a product owner & aspiring front-end developer, based in Amsterdam - The Netherlands. I'm passionate about my work and excited about learning to code. I also think work is more fun if you share a bit of yourself at work. Two important bits of my personal life are my love for travel, and my french bulldog Ralph


Explore new places

It started when a friend convinced me to take a sabattical and go on a backpacking trip together. For 6 months we travelled the world and I discovered how much I enjoyed experiencing new places and cultures. I choose to say 'experience' because I'm not the 'lay-on-the-beach-all-day' kind of girl.
On that trip - in Cusco, Peru - I met the love of my life; a travel-addicted American. It took a few amazing trips together to make it official, but we are now living our 'happily ever after' in Amsterdam.
These are some of my favorite travel experiences.

First time puppy mom

When I lived in Barcelona (in 2007) my boss - who's name was Ralph - had a French Bulldog. I fell in love with the breed and ever since then, I've said I would one day get a Frenchie and name him Ralph.
It took quite some time to take the step; a dog is a commitment that doesn't match too well with the love for travel. But 2019 was the year to meet our Ralph!
He is regularly featured in my conference calls, as he can be quite noisy and demanding for playtime.
